Jello has been around for 100 years, and a Jello cake would be the perfect thing to serve at a 100th birthday party. This cake would make a great twist to a regular birthday cake. Making a Jello cake for a 100th birthday party is easy. Just use the following recipe.
1 Box of white cake mix
3 eggs
Water and oil that is required on the back of the cake box
2 Small packages of any flavor of Jello
2 Cups of cold water
2 Cups of boiling water
1 8oz container of Cool-whip
Mix the white cake mix, eggs, water, and oil together until well blended. Pour the batter into a well greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until you can stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean. While the cake is baking pour the Jello packets into a large bowl. Pour in 2 cups of boiling water and mix until the Jello is completely dissolved. Pour in the 2 cups of cold water and set aside. Use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes into the cake as soon as it is removed from the oven. Pour the Jello mixture over the cake, and place in the refrigerator overnight. Before the party, spread the Cool-Whip over the cake.
