Ideas for Alien Centerpieces

For an Alien party that is truly out of this world, don’t forget to bring some ultra cool handmade centerpieces.

Homemade centerpieces for an Alien party can take many forms. The host could, for example, create an intergalactic spaceship or flying saucer from the most basic materials; pasting together two aluminum plates, a pair of old hubcaps, or even two silver-painted paper plates in the likeness of a spacecraft. Add sparkles and paint for effect, and perhaps even windows that reveal the likeness of smiling Alien faces.

For a more technically advanced handmade centerpiece for an Alien festivity, the host could use a craft set to make a model of a famous pop culture spaceship (such as the one featured in “Star Trek,” “Star Wars,” or “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”), surrounding it with action figures that represent cast members from those films. These models are often made from wood, plastic or steel; some come complete with lights and sometimes even sound effects--young guests will be amazed. Or she could create the paper, plastic or paper mache likeness of a famous movie alien, such as E.T., the characters from Monsters Inc. or Wall-E, or any of the alien characters from the popular Star Wars and Star Trek film franchises.

Throw in some spacey party supplies like metallic banner and paper links, wall art that depicts famous aliens from films and literature, and paper mache piñatas and plastic wall clings in the shape and likeness of flying saucers, and the host will have an Alien party that guests will come from “galaxies far, far away” to attend!
