A summer time favorite party theme for many people is the Aloha theme. This is a great way to bring in the summer with great Hawaiian fun. This unique party theme can be used to welcome in the summer or for someone’s birthday. However, what Aloha party would be complete without some great Aloha cupcakes. A local party supply store will have all the décor but, for the cupcakes a little bit of imagination must be involved. Here are just some of the great Aloha cupcakes to try.
Basic Aloha cupcakes are simple to make and do not require a lot of time. Basically add blue frosting a batch of white frosting and green food coloring to another batch. Frost half of the middle of the cupcakes with one color and vice versa. Then, frost the outer edges of the cupcakes with a contrasting colored frosting. Then, when finished, sprinkle colored sugar over the top of the cupcakes and take candy letters and place an A on top to represent the world Aloha.
Another great Aloha cupcake recipe to try would be a palm tree cupcake. To begin, frost the cupcakes in the desired color, or, simply dip them in coconut for a simple, but elegant, touch. Next, take Kiwi fruit and slice it into 1/8in thin slices to represent the leaves or fronds of the palm tree. Leave a 1in circle in the middle of the cupcake so that you are able to place a pretzel into the fruit. Take the bottom half of the pretzel and place it into the cupcake. A palm tree is born.
