Aloha is the Hawaiian word for hello, goodbye, love and also mercy. An Aloha party is a great way to give a Hawaiian touch to a sendoff or a welcome back celebration.

Ideas for
Aloha Centerpieces
A homemade centerpiece for an Aloha party should be as colorful and festive as the party itself; a celebration of the beautiful land of Hawaii, its scenic land and its rich culture.
In fact, a realistic homemade centerpiece depicting the radiant geography of this region might be perfect for an Aloha party. Using everything from paper mache to painted wood, the host could produce a three-dimensional landscape piece that features golden beaches and azure waters, swaying palms (though in a static miniature it may be just a tad difficult to make those palms ‘sway’), radiant florals and a sunny sky. One might even throw in a hula dancer or two for good measure and great authenticity!
On another note, the likeness of a hula dancer might itself make for a grand handmade centerpiece at any Aloha fest. Male and female hula dolls can be made from plastic or porcelain model doll parts, then dressed up in bikini tops (for the female dolls) and grass skirts, plus some colorful soft sandals and vibrant, rainbow-colored leis and costume jewelry to complete their costumes. And if any or all of these costumes happen to be hand sewn, then all the better!
Yet another idea for an Aloha party could involve the placement of playful tiki statues at the center of the party table. Carved from stone or wood, these statues could make a festive accent to any Hawaiian-themed party; especially if they are dressed up with the help of colorful party supplies like costume jewelry and even sunglasses.
