Just use this recipe to make some great grilled vegetables.
2 heads garlic
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 cup light mayonnaise dressing
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 to 2 tablespoons snipped chives
1 pound asparagus, tough ends snapped off
4 carrots, peeled and sliced diagonally
1 pint cherry tomatoes, stemmed
1 medium eggplant, cut into 1-inch slices
3 zucchini, trimmed and cut lengthwise into quarters
1 red onion, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
3 red, green, and yellow sweet peppers, remove the stems and seeds, cut into quarters
2 tablespoons olive oil
Remove the skin from the garlic heads. Cut off about ¼ of an inch from the top to expose the individual cloves. Brush the olive oil over the garlic cloves. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until the cloves are soft. Squeeze the juice from the cloves into a medium bowl and smash the garlic cloves in the bowl. Stir in the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chives until well blended. Set aside until ready to serve. Boil the asparagus, and carrots for about 3 minutes to blanch them. Place all of the vegetables on the grill, and drizzle the olive oil over them. Grill each of the vegetables until they are tender. Be careful to not char any of the vegetables. Arrange the vegetables on a serving platter with the garlic mixture in the middle.
Your guests will love the colorful arrangement of the vegetables. The garlic mixture makes a great dip for the grilled vegetables. These are sure to be a hit at your next barbeque.
Barbecue Party Supplies with a Theme Party
With summer around the corner, it's almost time to plan a Barbeque Theme Party for the Fourth of July, a birthday, or just because! With a little creativity and a lot of spirit, even your least mirthful neighbors will have a good time. Design the party with Barbecue party supplies for a cool atmosphere themed. Send out invitations pictured with savory grilled foods and no one will stay away. Include the dress code; is it denim, cowboy apparel, or swimsuits?
Keep the backyard casual with simple tables and chairs set in groupings meant for lively conversation. Bright tablecloths and loud streamers will add color. Keep bugs away from the fun with citronella candles. If you can, have one go-to table solely for food, so no one will have to reach across another's plate to nab the ketchup. No backyard? Enjoy a Barbeque Party with your grill on the balcony and your guests inside an apartment, well-lit by festive, outdoor lighting.
Chow down with a Dinosaur recipe for an outdoor pool party. Hot dogs and hamburgers make for the most inexpensive barbeque, but for the creative chef there are meat and vegetable kabobs. Ribs and chicken are home-style favorites, perfect for showing off enticing Barbeque sauces. Potato, macaroni, vegetable and fruit salads appease all palates and waistlines. Brownies, cakes, and pies are excellent Barbeque follow-ups. Don’t forget strong paper plates and lots of napkins for the sumptuous, messy feast.
Have something to do. A child's birthday bash will require games, such as relay races, passing balloons or hula hoops around a circle without hands, and pin-the-tail-on-anything. All ages can enjoy three-legged and gunnysack races. If there is one, make sure the pool is safe and well-guarded by adults. Any way you slice it, your Barbeque Theme Party will be the hit of the season!
