Engagement Theme Party. Serve petit fours as a great finger dessert that is not only elegant, but also allows everyone to enjoy their time socializing.
Use the following recipe to make great petit fours that everyone will enjoy.
1 Pound cake (can already be premade, or you can choose to make your own)
1 container of Heavy whipping cream
1 Package of semi sweet chocolate bark (broken into pieces)
Cut the pound cake into 3 inch cubes. Bring the whipping cream to a boil over medium heat. Make sure to stir constantly to prevent the cream from burning at the bottom of the pan. Pour the cream over the chocolate in a medium bowl. Cover the bowl and let stand for a few minutes to help soften the chocolate. Whisk until smooth. Let the chocolate stand at room temperature overnight for the best results. Pour the chocolate over the pound cake pieces. Set the pieces on a serving platter. The chocolate will harden up to look very smooth.
You can decorate the petit fours for the engagement party. Use pipe frosting to make a monogram of the couple’s initials. You can also make flowers on top of the petit fours with colored butter cream frosting. The petit fours will be the hit of the party, and your guests are guaranteed to love them.
