Pepperoni Pizza Burger Recipe

1 beaten egg
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 8-ounce can pizza sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lean ground beef
2 ounces pepperoni, finely chopped
6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
In a large bowl mix eggs, bread crumbs, 2 Tablespoons of pizza sauce, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, ground beef, and pepperoni. Make sure that all of the ingredients are well combined. Grill for 14-18 minutes or until the centers are no longer pink. Split the hamburger buns in half, and butter each half. Toast in a skillet on medium heat until the butter side is golden brown. Heat the remaining pizza sauce over medium heat until warm. Place the hamburger on the bottom bun. Spoon pizza sauce over burger, top with cheese, and then place the top half of the bun on top.
