For the G.I. Joe cupcake frosting put together ½ cup or 1 stick of softened butter, 1 packet of 8-ounce softened cream cheese and 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a large bowl and whip them with the mixer at medium-high speed till they are fluffy, which will take about 2 minutes. Bring down the speed to low and add in 1 packet of 16-ounce confectioners’ sugar. Once the sugar gets mixed well with the other ingredients turn up the speed to medium-high and run the mixer for about 2 minutes till you get a fluffy and creamy frosting. You can whip up separate batches for the different colors and fill them in separate piping tubes to decorate the G.I. Joe cupcakes with this yummy frosting.
Once all the G.I. Joe cupcakes have been frosted it’s time to start decorating them with all the goodies. If you have experience with fondant then you can make miniature tanks, flags, stars and other G.I. Joe related trinkets and place them on the frosting.
