Kooky Cauldron Sundae Recipe
Halloween is the one day out of the year where you get to dress up and pretend to be someone or something else for a day. This is fun for both children and adults. Throwing a
Halloween Theme Party has become just as big of a tradition as trick-or-treating. Dressing up, playing spooky music, and the treats makes Halloween a night to remember. Serve kooky cauldron sundaes to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
Kooky cauldron sundaes are easy to put together using this recipe.
12 ounces chocolate flavored candy, chopped
6 small balloons
4 ounces of vanilla flavored candy, chopped
Lime sherbet
Orange and yellow nonpareils
Orange coarse sugar
Sour gummy worms
Pretzel sticks
Orange, yellow, and red shredded coconut (Use food coloring to tint the coconut)
Melt the chocolate flavored candy using a double boiler or microwave. Stir every 30 seconds until melted. Blow up the balloons until they are about 4 inches in diameter. After the chocolate as cooled for a few minutes, dip the balloons in the chocolate until they are half way covered. Make sure to get a thick layer since these will be your bowls. Let the chocolate drip down to make a support for the bowl. Place the balloons on wax paper and place in the freezer to harden. Once the chocolate has hardened, use a pin to pop the balloons. Remove the balloon pieces from the chocolate bowls. Melt the vanilla flavored candy, and use a brush to spread the candy around the edges of the chocolate bowls. Scoop the sherbet into the bowls and use the nonpareils, sugar, and worms to decorate. Arrange the pretzel sticks on a serving plate to look like campfire logs. Sprinkle the coconut on top of the pretzels to look like fire, and place the cauldron bowls on top of the campfire to serve. All of your guests are sure to be amazed with these kooky cauldron sundaes.
Halloween Party Supplies with a Theme Party
Having a Halloween Party will be "eerie fun." Get the party started with Halloween party supplies from invitations to decorations. Start with the haunted house invitations and ask your guests to come in full costume. Decorate with black balloons, black crepe paper, black cats and witches. Hang spiders everywhere. Have specimen jars labeled "Eye Balls" and put pealed grapes in them. Vienna sausages would be fingers and shredded red cabbage or sour kraut for brains. Outside decorate with fake tombstones and put some of these words on them: here lies - Ted N. Buried, U.R. Next, and Fester N Rot. Give prizes for the most original costume, the sexiest, the stupidest, and the most beautiful. Sprinkle the event with a fabulous Oktoberfest recipe for more scrumptious food. Name your food with fun labels like: Witches fingers (chicken strips), Worm Casserole (noodles and spaghetti). For dessert serve Ghosts (nutter butter cookies dipped in white chocolate), Spiders (Oreo cookies without the tops with strands of licorice on them). One fun beverage could be orange punch made from Kool-aid with plastic spiders floating in it. Orange cup cakes with black and orange icing will be the perfect ending to this spooky party.
