Hanukkah Beef Brisket Recipe

Use the following recipe to make Hanukkah beef brisket.
1 4pound fresh beef brisket
¼ teaspoon seasoned pepper
Dash of salt
1 Tablespoon of flour
3 medium carrots, chopped
3 stalks of celery, chopped
3 medium onions, chopped
1 7 ½ ounce canned tomatoes, chopped
½ cup port wine
1 envelope of onion soup mix
1 teaspoon of dried basil, crushed
2 bay leaves
Trim any excess fat from the brisket. Sprinkle the pepper and salt on the brisket. Place the flour in a larger oven roaster bag and shake the flour around in the bag. Place the brisket in the bag, and set the bag in a roasting pan. Mix the carrots, celery, onions, tomatoes, wine, onion soup mix, basil, and bay leaves together. Pour the mixture in the roasting bag on top of the brisket. Close and seal the bag, and cut slits in the top of the bag. Roast in the oven at 325 degrees for about 3 hours. Slice the brisket into ¼ inch slices and pour the trimmings over the top to serve.
