Frost all of your happy face cupcakes with the vanilla frosting or, any other color that you choose. A smiley face does not always have to be white. Other colors may just bring a giggle to the recipient as well. The choice is yours and, the possibilities are endless. Once the cupcakes are frosted allow them to set for about 10 minutes. This will make them easy to decorate.
Next step in the assembly of your happy face cupcakes is to take the licorice and cut them into thin strips for the mouth. If you are really good at cake decorating or just want to try something new you can place the mouth in a variety of different poses. A variety of different mouth positions (except for sad, sad is not allowed) will bring a smile.
The final step in the assembly stage of your happy face cupcakes is to put on the eyes and nose. This can be done with a variety of different candies. Things such as chocolate chips make great eyes while an M&M will make a cute button nose. Once done you will truly have a cupcake that will bring a smile to everyone’s face at the party
