Remember the days of the hippies? The long hair, the freedom, and the ever famous peace symbols and the amazing cars all them are icons of the freedom and love that everyone shared. Why not bring that back at someone’s birthday that lived in the 60’s? A local party supply store will have lots of unique items for the special day and, you can finish it off with these unique hippie cupcakes.
To begin these great hippie cupcakes gather the items that will be needed during the assemble process. Various colors of food coloring, peace symbols, and other assorted cake toppers that resemble icons of the 60’s, cupcakes and frosting.
Once all of the required items are gathered it is time to assemble these great hippie cupcakes. The first step is turn all of the cupcakes tie die. The 60’s were also a time of tie dying so why not symbolize that in the cupcakes. Take the color of food coloring of your choice and, place it in one corner of the cupcake. Place 3-4 drops in that corner and repeat the process with other colors till all the corners have been filled.
The next step in creating the ultimate hippie cupcake would be to frost them. However, do not use the traditional colors of today. Go wild experiment with the food coloring and see what type of colors that are created. The more wildly the color the better the cupcakes will look.
Finally, place the peace symbols on the top of the cupcake. To do this attach a bit of the frosting to the bottom of the symbol and then adhere it to the cupcake. When these great cupcakes are assembled the guests will go nuts over all the great time and effort taken to create the ultimate hippie cupcake.
