Cheesy Grilled Lobster Tail Recipe
Lobsterfest is the biggest party that opens the lobster season. You don’t have to live near a marine to celebrate your favorite seafood with your friends and family. Use the following recipe to make great cheesy lobster tails.
4 medium lobster tails
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
3 to 4 sliced green onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
3/4 cup shredded creamy havarti cheese
2 teaspoons snipped fresh basil
2 tablespoons melted margarine or butter
Rinse the lobster tails and pat dry with a paper towel. Use a sharp knife to cut lengthwise through the top shell and down to the bottom shell. Do not cut through the bottom shell. Use your fingers to spread the tail apart to create a butterfly tail. Mix the butter, green onion, garlic, bread crumbs, basil and cheese together until well blended. Spread the cheese mixture into the slits of the lobster. Place on prepared grill. Cover and grill for 25 minutes. Drizzle with the melted butter before serving.
