Ideas for
Mardi Gras Centerpieces
Mardi Gras is a party like no other so making a homemade Mardi Gras centerpiece like no other as well is the hosts mission. making a Mardi Gras centerpiece should contain traditional colors of Mardi Gras – yellow, green and purple. Avoid looking and making items of any other color. Use a container to hold the Mardi Gras items such as a decorative box, bowl, or glass. Floral foam is a good way to hold the desired items in place. Glitter curls spray will give the centerpiece some height – the bigger the better. Add different Mardi Gras masks; tape on long skewers and insert into the foam. On the inside of the box, tape purple, yellow, and green feathers. Insert long Mardi Gras balloons such as stars and masks. Deco mesh is a useful arts & crafts material because it can form different shapes such as flowers.
Place the finished Mardi Gras centerpiece on to the party table and string a few bead necklaces, glitter, and Mardi Gras masks to create a great focal point of the party. Making a centerpiece of this magnitude takes effort but is well worth it. Perhaps the children of the house would like to make their own Mardi Gras centerpiece. Have the little ones cut out their own Mardi Gras masks from construction paper. Attach feathers and apply glitter etc to the masks. Attach long sticks to the end of the masks. Use a pot, colorfully decorated with paint, glitter in Mardi Gras colors, and place the masks inside the pot using floral foam. Place curing ribbon inside the pot and a Mardi Gras centerpiece is created.
