Kid Friendly Mom Cake Recipe
Mother’s Day is the one day out of the year when mom is truly shown how much she is appreciated. Children love to throw a Mothers Day Theme Party for their mother. Children often have trouble cooking a big meal for mom, but this kid friendly mom cake is something that they can put together easily.

Use the following recipe to make a kid friendly mom cake, but use a butter knife for the cutting for safety.
1 (10 3/4-ounce) pound cake
1 (3 1/8-ounce) box of instant pudding
1 cup whipped topping
2 bananas
4 large strawberries
Chilled chocolate syrup
Cut the pound cake into horizontal slices about an inch thick. Prepare the pudding according to the directions and mix in the whipped topping. Slice the strawberries and bananas. Place enough slices of pound cake to cover the bottom of a loaf pan. Place the strawberries on top, and pour a little less than half of the pudding over top. Place more pound cake slices on top and top with the bananas. Pour the remaining pudding over the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Decorate the cake with the chocolate syrup. You can also cut a few more strawberries into heart shapes and place them on the cake.

The children will be so happy when they deliver their homemade dessert to mom. Dad may need to supervise according to the age of the children, but the design should be up to them.
