“Pirate Cookies,” are a great treat for a Pirate Theme Party. Most of the guests at your Pirate Party will have a great time and enjoy the great taste of Pirate cookies. Pirate cookies can be made with an assortment of cookie recipes or by using a Pirate party cookie cutter. Most people will find that pirate cookies one of the easiest cookies to make and are very tasty. Additionally, Pirate cookies are as easy to decorate as they are to make. The following ingredients should be used for your cookie recipe:2 eggs, 3 cups of all purpose flour, 1 ½ cups of sugar, 1 cup softened butter, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. First of all, preheat the oven to 375° for approximately twenty minutes before you want to bake your cookies. Then in a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients by stirring thoroughly. Then use another bowl and mix the eggs, sugar, vanilla and butter together. When these ingredients have been thoroughly mixed, add the bowl of dry ingredients and stir for about 2 minutes or until completely mixed. Next, use wax paper and roll out your cookies mixture. Sprinkle the wax paper with flour to keep it from sticking. Then take pirate shape cookie cutters and cut out cookies. Place this on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake the Pirate cookies for 10 to 12 minutes; check the oven to keep from burning. After the Pirate cookies have been baked let them cool and then decorate by using raisins for the eyes and licorice for the beard, nose and eyebrows. These cookies will bring a lot of smiles to your Pirate party guests.
