Creating a homemade centerpiece with a roaring 20’s theme can be great fun if the proper amount of creativity was used. For those that were not blessed to be born in the 20’s it was a time of flappers, jazz, speakeasies, and prohibition. It is important to know that if one is planning a roaring 20’s party, the overall décor is extremely important and the centerpiece is no exception.
A great way to represent this amazing jazz era through a homemade centerpiece would be to make it music themed. Find miniature trombones, trumpets, and other musical items know to the era and place them around jazz records of the era.
Another great homemade centerpiece would be to create gangster cutouts. Gangsters were all over in the 20’s mainly due to the bootlegging of alcohol. Simply locate pictures of famous gangsters of the era and cut them out and glue them onto a cardboard back. Take a small piece of cardboard and glue it to the back to create a stand. For an added touch you can place candy cigars and toy guns around the figure. And don’t forget to add a cutout of a tommy gun.
