The following items will make a great fruit salad: two tablespoons of sugar, 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, 1 cup of pineapple juice, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon of lemon peel, 1 cup of canned pineapple, 1 cup of banana(sliced), 1 cup of kiwi(cut up), and 1 cup of both red and white grapes(cut in half). After you have all of the ingredients prepared and on your counter. Use a large bowl and combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Then add the pineapple juice, lemon juice and lemon peel to this mixture. Cook over medium heat and stir constantly until the mixture comes to a full boil. Then turn down the heat and cook for about three minutes, stirring often. Once this becomes thickened, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool. Then in dessert dishes place the fruit (bananas, kiwi, pineapple, apples, etc…) and pour the fruit sauce over each individual dish and serve to your guests. Most of your guests will enjoy the sweet taste of the fruit covered with sauce. This dessert will be the ideal addition to your Sugar and Spice party menu.
