Fruit Salsa and Chips Recipe
The Superbowl is every football fan’s biggest party day. It is the ultimate game of the season. The food at a
Superbowl Theme Party
should be easy to eat, and consist mainly of finger foods. People want to be able to jump and cheer without having to set their plates down. Fruit salsa and chips makes a great alternative to a big cake or pie for dessert. It is very simple to make, and has the right amount of sweetness to end any meal. The best thing about it is that it is a lot easier to cheer with just a chip in your hand, than it is with a plate of dessert.
Use this recipe to make fruit salsa and chips.
2 kiwis, peeled and diced
2 Golden Delicious apples (peeled, cored and diced)
8 ounces raspberries
1 pound strawberries(leaves cut off and diced)
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons fruit preserves (your favorite flavor)
10 flour tortillas
Butter flavored cooking spray
2 cups cinnamon sugar
Combine the kiwis, apples, raspberries, strawberries, white sugar, brown sugar, and fruit preserves in a large bowl. Mix until well combined. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes before serving. Coat each side of the tortillas with the cooking spray. Cut into wedges and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Arrange into a single layer on a cooking sheet and spray again with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve the chips with the chilled fruit salsa.
The fruit salsa can be prepared the night before, making this a very easy dessert to prepare. Your guests are sure to love the flavor packed into the salsa.
Superbowl Party Supplies with a Theme Party
The traditional Superbowl party is the least fussy, unpretentious party you can host. Design the party with Superbowl party supplies for a cool atmosphere themed. Invitations will have football/super bowl symbols on them and can be sent or emailed. Although decorating with the different team’s colors and logos is a must, the main focus of this party will be the television and the big game, so have several rooms with televisions so guests can wander aimlessly with their food and beer. The only game or activity necessary will be a Super Bowl pool so that those who are interested can buy a few squares to make the game even more exciting. Have foam footballs available so that guests can throw them at the TV when they aren't happy with the 'call'. Add some ideas like Passover Recipe for more awesome celebration. The food will have to take a second place to the game for this party so go ahead and serve everyone's favorite high fat, finger licking good snack foods like: chips, sour cream or cheese dips, chili, salsa, Buffalo wings, cheese balls, and pizza. Throw in a few healthier snacks for people who want them like a veggie platter and fruit. You can do all this in a separate room that does not have a television in it and plan on plenty of beverages, especially beer as those beer commercials will have everyone thirsting for the suds. A buffet table might works best so that guests can nibble as they go. For dessert go with bars, cookies, mini-muffins and cup cakes with the teams colored sprinkles on them.
