Additionally, a Surprise party host can have a lot of fun with icing flourishes, even going so far as to decorate an entire batch of cupcakes with the word “Surprise!” spelled out in bright pink, red or gold icing. He/she also can go all out with more general, liberal flourishes, dousing the cupcakes in yummy frosting of various hues and textures; just make sure that the flourishes do not become messy or most literally ‘overrun’ the cake.
