Twenties was the era of silent movies, Flappers, Jazz music or ‘Black & White’ and while serving Twenties cupcakes at a theme party, make sure the decorations of the cakes retain the perfect Twenties theme. Rich chocolate, classic vanilla or offbeat lemons are perfect flavors for the Twenties party deserts’ menu. Nothing is easier than baking tasty cupcakes for the party and decorating them with colorful frosting according to the theme.
Special party supplies required to decorate the Twenties cupcakes include designer dark chocolate or black cupcake wrappers and a beautiful cupcake holder. Use a classic recipe to make the batter or get readymade cake mixes and follow instructions imprinted on them to bake the cupcakes. Set them aside for cooling and get started with the decoration part. Take 1/6” sheaths of chocolate brown, white and red fondant and make some nice textures on them. It is easy to texture up the fondant with tiny mould in floral or square designs. After that, cut the colored fondant in round shapes. Make sure the size is similar to the surfaces of the cupcakes. Put red, white or black fondants on different cupcakes to retain the variety.
Now, to give the Twenties cupcakes a perfect theme look, take some butter cream frosting and make unique shapes on the cupcakes. On the cupcakes that are covered with black fondant, make a white beaded necklace with the frosting. Create a brown hat feather on the white fondant with some dark chocolate frosting. Decorate the red fondant covered cupcakes with chocolate and butter cream hearts. They are sure to look rich and beautiful. Put the cupcakes in designer wrappers and arrange them nicely on a cake holder. Guests would certainly take time to watch the decorations of the cupcakes before they take the bite!
