Veterans Day is a very important day all over the world, not just in America, so is something that absolutely should be celebrated with some cupcakes made with love and pride and respect. Veterans have done so much for every developed country in the world, and deserve to be honored and adored in every way, shape and form. There are many ways you can do this, but holding a party in the name of all the veterans and baking some specific themed cupcakes will bring your message across loud and clear. Veterans Day cupcakes should be bold, strong, smart and understated, much like the soldiers you are representing. There are various things that represent veterans and war and the things that are associated with Veterans day; dates, flowers, wreaths, flags, nationalities, and everything in between.
One thing in particular that is associated with Veteran's Day and would fit in perfectly on your cupcakes are poppies. Poppies are red flowers with black centers that have been used since the end of World War 1 to honor and remember those who have died for us. You could create red cupcakes with white icing on them, decorated with a poppy made out of icing or sugar paper or colored dough. Alternatively, you could create an actual poppy out of paper and the likes and stick them into your cupcakes.
Other things you could do include decorating with the American flag, wreaths which are often laid down to remember veterans by, or flags of allies in World War 1, or any war after that. There's dates you can use too, such as 11/11 which is the actual date of Veterans day.
