For decades young kids have loved Winnie the Pooh. And there wouldn’t be a problem finding party favors, decorations, and even invitations with the pooh bear on them. So, why not have a surprise birthday Winnie the Pooh Theme Party ?

Since honey is loved by all bears, the theme can have lots of healthy honey items to eat as the snacks. Honey on cinnamon toast is a great lunch. And some specialty stores sell honey sticks that the kids can suck on until they’re empty.

An edible fruit basket also makes a healthy snack. You will need a basket, skewers, and something to hold the skewers in the basket as you create a fine bouquet of fruit arrangement. To hold the skewers, use floral foam, or a head of lettuce. Small fruits can be used, like grapes of different colors, and placed on the skewers. Or use a melon baller to create balls of cantaloupe, watermelon, and other melons, to place on the skewers also. Star fruit makes an excellent design when sliced, and canned pineapple chunks can also be used.

Another cute idea for a recipe is to have cupcakes with Teddy Grahams, gummy bears, or other bear cookie or candy on top of them. These can be made or bought, and the finishing touches will be done at home. Be sure that there is plenty of frosting to hold on to the cookie on top. You can always add another layer of frosting in another color to make it even more decorative, and the kids won’t mind at all.

There isn't a child who doesn't know and love Winnie the Pooh so a Pooh party is a great idea. Match the invitations with Winnie the Pooh party supplies to set the party theme.
